November Beer Fundraiser (UPDATED)

Updated: Dec 14, 2021

UPDATE: Boise Brewing has raised $725 to go towards our fundraiser! $452 was raised through Boise Light sales in November and $273 was raised from when we set up a table at the brewery on Saturday, November 27.

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Boise Brewing. For the duration of November, Boise Brewing is going to donate $1 for every Boise Light Ale sold at the brewery. This is a great opportunity for the community to support the project while also supporting a local brewery (and enjoy a great beer).

At Boise Brewing, they are brewing up more than just great beer, they are building a community. Every month, Boise Brewing donates $1 for every Boise Light Ale to different group each month. Even after our November Beer Fundraiser, you can still support different projects by buying your favorite Boise Light Ale, or any of their other delicious craft beers.

Collin Rudeen first came up with the idea of opening a brewery when he signed up for a community garden. He wondered why there couldn’t be a fresh pint of his favorite craft beverage for pickup along with his monthly box of vegetables. Just like that, Boise Brewing was born. From the birth of the idea to opening day took about two years to gather together all of the right pieces. Collin hired Lance Chavez as head brewer and together they began working on recipes, scoping out locations, and raising capital.

Boise Brewing is currently one of only a couple breweries in the country to offer an ownership program of this kind. With the help of over 280 individual owners and businesses; Boise Brewing was able to raise enough money to open its doors to the public on June 13, 2014. Now they are in the process of expanding the brewery.
